Can I use SHYNE Body Butter on my sensitive skin?
SHYNE Body Butter’s natural ingredients do respond well to most skin types. While our products have been used by people with sensitive skin conditions, essential oils may cause irritation in some individuals. If your skin is particularly sensitive, we recommend that you test a small patch before applying liberally. Discontinue use if irritation develops.
Is SHYNE Body Butter vegan?
Yes, SHYNE Body Butter is an all-natural vegan product.
Why don’t you use plastic materials?
Essential oils are very potent, which means that many oils will dissolve plastic. Our high-quality glass jars will best preserve the ingredients.
Where should I keep my body butter?
SHYNE Body Butter should be stored in a dry, cool area (below 22°C), and away from direct sunlight. This will maintain the integrity of the ingredients and avoid product separation.
Why do you use a dark jar?
Our amber glass jar protects the ingredients from light that can alter their delicate composition. Plus, it looks great on your nightstand!
What should I do with my empty SHYNE jar?
Jar returns are currently being accepted at Ms. Meri Mak Boutique in Guelph. Please visit shynebodybutter.com/jar-return for details. If you are unable to return your jar, we encourage you to re-use the jars for your own storage purposes.
Where can I buy SHYNE Body Butter?
SHYNE Body Butter is currently available on our Etsy store. We’re working on getting it into local shops in the Guelph, Kitchener-Waterloo areas, so keep your eyes out for updates :)

Will my body butter expire?
While SHYNE Body Butter doesn’t have a formal expiration date, it is generally recommended that it is used within 6 months of opening for best product quality.
